This is our 11th year participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count at the Mill. We spend about an hour in the mornings at the Mill, counting the birds we see. If you would like to participate in the event, please RSVP by contacting us ahead of time so we can tell you the details of when we will meet each day.
Monday, February 20, 2023 – Open House to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Purchase of the Mill – 12pm-2pm
On February 20, 2008, Cider Mill Friends purchased the Kimlin Cider Mill. To celebrate this milestone, we will hold an open house (weather dependent). There will be a roaring fire in the fireplace along with hot chocolate and cookies.

Saturday, May 6, 2023 – Invasive Plant Species Pull – 1-3pm
This is a fun, hands-on way to learn about invasive plant species and help remove them from the cider mill property. We’ll be pulling Japanese knotweed, bittersweet vines and porcelain berry vines and giving out prizes for who pulls the most by weight or volume. You can win tickets to our cider tasting event in the fall.
Saturday, May 13, 2022 – Mother’s Day Plant Sale
Plant sale at the Mill in honor of Mother’s Day and springtime! Both indoor and outdoor plants will be for sale, including lilies of the valley, irises, catnip, periwinkle, elephant ear bulbs, wild ginger, Japanese maple, spider plant, cat grass, and ground cover geranium. All proceeds benefit the restoration of the historic Kimlin Cider Mill.
