This is our 14th year participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count at the Mill. We spend about an hour in the mornings at the Mill starting around 7:30am, counting the birds we see. If you would like to participate in the event, please RSVP by contacting us ahead of time so we can tell you the details and let you know of any weather delays or cancelations.

This year we will be participating in Vassar College’s Earth Day event.
Sunday, April 19, 2026 – Brooklyn Cider House Spiked Apple 5k
Brooklyn Cider House has selected Cider Mill Friends to be their charity partner at this race. We will receive 100% of the funds donated to our organization by registrants. Volunteers from our group will be helping at the event, so come by as a spectator or a participant, say hi to us, and cheer on the runners.

Plant sale at the Mill in honor of Mother’s Day and springtime! Both indoor and outdoor plants will be for sale. All proceeds benefit the restoration of the historic Kimlin Cider Mill.
